Printing Articles, Etc…

Even if e-readers and electronic publishing are taking off like few (unless they watched startrek) would have ever expected, there remains something good in tactile contact with solid paper and ink. Plus, good luck stabling eReaders showing your lost dog to telephone poles around the neighbor hood. If you are looking to finish a printing project on schedule with pizzaz here are some links you should consider…

Look for printing shops in your neighborhood like old school Xerox shops. Costco and Staples might be able to help you as well.

If you need posters or pictures look for a drugstore like CVS or Walgreens and take advantage of their online deals and print from home or print from facebook technology.

Invest in a good camera, like a Cannon or Nikon with removable scope. The level of quality vs the price makes these a much better investment than the camera in your phone.

Consider print on demand sites like createspace.com if you are looking to make bound books of work (whether employee packets, that novel you’ve been burning through, or a recipe book for an engaged relative). The quality is good and the price is usually free to join.

Find a friend with the right printer for the job. One with color and good text quality is best, although you might have to buy them fresh in cartridges if you’re in a hurry.

If you run into trouble, scan the internet for quick guides to get you through. Replacing cartridges or printing two sided booklets gets a lot easier this way.

Check back often for more helpful hints on printing and a bunch of other topics as well!
